InControl Wisconsin Associates work closely with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), and the Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to advise and assist with the implementation of the principles of self-determination in public systems and programs.
In this work, we:
- Identify and define best practices;
- Develop and support a variety of efforts to foster maximum flexibility and creativity;
- Create useful tools and planning systems; and
- Find ways that all those involved can maximize their effectiveness and efficiency in meeting the needs of the people they serve.
We have also helped providers of long-term care services to navigate the new self-directed support service system in Wisconsin so that they can adapt to the new opportunities SDS brings to their clientele.
Being part of an extensive international community working together to share learning on self-directed support, InControl Wisconsin has access to the experience and resources necessary to transform our service system so that people of any age or need for support can have control over their support, and their lives.
